WESTERN SHAMROCK CORPORATION is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Marketing Department. This position combines Marketing and Administrative job duties and requires that candidates be flexible. We are looking for an individual who is efficient, comfortable being a member of a team, and can provide direct support to our Director of Marketing. The ability to multi-task and complete general administrative activities is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver, organized, articulate, self-motivated, outgoing, and has a strong desire to succeed. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.
Administrative
- Perform some administrative functions such as creating spreadsheets, submitting expense reports, and creating various marketing reports to name a few.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong computer skills are needed, as are excellent telephone skills.
- Extra points for an upbeat, positive personality.
Social Media
- Be able to develop and implement a social media strategy that aligns with company objectives.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and execute integrated campaigns that include social media.
- Create and curate engaging content for social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest.
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, comments, and messages across social media platforms.
- Analyze social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and incorporate them into our social media strategy.
- Monitor and report on competitors’ social media activity and adjust our strategy accordingly.
- Adhere to a consistent brand voice and maintain company brand standards in all product support materials and communications.
Marketing
- Build a working knowledge of products and company through close collaboration with Marketing and Operations Team.
- Assist with creation, production and proofing of marketing and sales support documents, presentations and related website content.
- Help with event planning and execution.
- Undertake other projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in handling diverse responsibilities.

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
