The primary duties of a District Manager at WESTERN SHAMROCK CORPORATION are to recruit, hire, promote, retain and train qualified staff to enable, support and direct those personnel to achieve outline performance standards within established policy guidelines and to regularly evaluate performance and make required adjustments to ensure offices operate at the expected level of profitability. District Managers are responsible for the implementation and administration of company policy and procedure; scheduling and supervising instructional and training programs for the operation of the loan businesses; and ensuring that company personnel are knowledgeable concerning policies, procedures, and software and equipment as it applies to their particular job descriptions.
District Managers/Assistant District Managers/Regional Managers will be required to:
- Visit each assigned branch on a regular basis, generally one time monthly, to evaluate personnel, review account history, and to ensure policy compliance.
- Possess skills to interview applicants to determine their eligibility and ability to perform as a WSC team member.
- Interview, complete required documentation and properly train new managers.
- Develop marketing and collection strategies for each branch location to ensure compliance with outlined company goals.
- Build and maintain a high employee morale through personal involvement in goal setting, goal achievement and employee recognition.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with company policy and state law. In the normal course of business, District Managers are required to conduct operational audits, inspections and reviews on a periodic basis.
- Conduct trainings and training meetings as needed to implement required adherence to company policy.
- Supervise and maintain records reflecting conformance to company policy and procedures by company personnel. Submit required documentation to company.
- Submit timely performance evaluations on their direct reports and to ensure branch managers have submitted accurate, timely evaluations on indirect reports.
- Address consumer complaints and concerns to a satisfactory conclusion. Maintain customer goodwill while upholding and enforcing all company, state, federal and local requirements.
- Possess skills necessary to conduct investigations into policy violations including fraud in their branch locations. Required to coordinate investigations with Risk Management in the Home Office and with local law enforcement.
- Conduct periodic assessments to determine the need for additional security services, and make corresponding recommendations to the Risk Manager. Submit an annual security evaluation to the Risk Manager.
Trainer Job Description:
- Be involved with planning, coordinating, and conducting training meetings throughout the year, pairing with Operations on materials and content.
- Provide support, assistance, and training for DMs, DM’s areas of need, coordinating schedules with Operations.
- Develop training materials to assist employees for improving skill sets, work habits, policy compliance and overall performance.
- Become the expert of state regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the mentorship of districts throughout the year.
- Ensure there is an impact on the visits. Follow up within a few weeks with the DM on YOUR performance and their feedback. Relay concerns to Operations.
- Submit a weekly detailed record of the visit to the DM and Operations.

Must be able to travel to assigned branches on regular basis. Depending on distance from employee’s home, overnight stays may be required.
Must be fluent (read, write, speak and understand) in the English language.
Must attend scheduled training meetings in local areas as well as in remote locations as directed by Home Office.
